The Case For Teaching The Bible-Time Magazine

TIME MAGAZINE IS RUNNING THIS ARTICLE: "Miss Kendrick came ready, with props. The day's topic was the Gospel of Matthew. "You can divide all the Beatitudes into two parts," Jennifer Kendrick explained to her teenage audience. "The 'Blessed are the whatevers,' like 'the meek,' and then the reward they will get. So I've made some puzzle pieces here." She passed out construction-paper sheets, each bearing either the name of a virtuous group or its reward, in black marker. "And you've got to find the person who has the other half. What's the first one in the Bible?"
"The poor in spirit," mumbled a crew-cut boy.
"O.K. What goes with the poor in spirit?"
A girl in the front of the room replied, reading from her sheet, "For they will see God."
"Nope," chirped Kendrick. "O.K., find the person that matches yours. I'll take the roll." Read it all here... I am in shock...are we in America?

Do These Pants Make Me Look Fat? How Others View Us!

Two Agnostics have started a weekly blog called: Churchhop They visit a different church most weeks and tell about their experiences. They bring a different perspective of what those outside the church think of us. The message may be a stumbling block to many, Jesus said it would, but we do not have to add to their stumbling.

Whatever your thoughts on ChurchHop...pray for them--who knows they may encounter the living God!

Mormon Coffee?

Coffee shop pulling Moroni advertisements

But owners plan to sell shirts with LDS trademark for now

By Jared Page
Deseret Morning News

TAYLORSVILLE — The two men making lattes and cappuccinos at Just Add Coffee simply smile and shrug when patrons ask about the official-looking letter displayed on the counter.

Ed Beazer, left, and Van Lidell, owners of Just Add Coffee, display a T-shirt Thursday that the LDS Church has asked them to stop selling, along with a request to remove Moroni from their advertising.

Laura Seitz, Deseret Morning News
"We kinda got in trouble," explains Ed Beazer, co-owner of the shop.

The letter is from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, specifically its intellectual-property office, and takes issue with an advertising campaign for the coffeehouse that spoofs an LDS Church trademark.

T-shirts being sold at the coffee shop feature an image of the angel Moroni, the golden statue of a male figure in a robe blowing a trumpet that sits atop many LDS temples. In the Just Add Coffee version, Moroni's trumpet is angled upward as coffee from a pot is poured into it.

"It was a spoof," Beazer said. "It was meant to be fun."

It apparently didn't amuse the LDS Church, whose members are discouraged from drinking coffee.

In a letter sent to Beazer's home last week, the shop owner was informed that the image of Moroni is a registered trademark of the LDS Church. The letter also requested that Just Add Coffee discontinue use of the image in advertising campaigns.

The locally owned coffee shop at 5578 S. Redwood Road began featuring the image on greeting cards about a year ago, and at the request of patrons, started featuring it on T-shirts just before Christmas.

Beazer said he and co-owner Van Lidell were not aware that the image was a trademark until last week. The church took issue with the image after it appeared in a newspaper ad on March 9.

At the request of the LDS Church, Beazer said, Just Add Coffee has pulled newspaper ads with the image.

"We're not out to hurt anyone," Beazer said. "We're not out to be mean or spiteful."

But they're not ready to quit selling the T-shirts, either.

"They've been the best-selling T-shirts we've ever done," Beazer said.

Attorneys for Just Add Coffee have sent a letter to church officials to inform them of the shirts and request that the shop owners be sent proof of the trademark.

"If they provide proof, we're going to comply," Beazer said. "We don't want to break any laws or anything."

Church spokesman Scott Trotter confirmed to the Deseret Morning News on Thursday that the image is an LDS Church trademark.

In the meantime, the coffee-drinking Moroni shirts will remain on sale, the owners said.

The shirts come in several sizes and colors and feature the Just Add Coffee logo on the front, with the Moroni image on the back. Short-sleeve shirts cost $9.95, and the long-sleeve version runs $12.95.

"We don't know if we're going to be able to sell them much longer," Lidell said, "so this might be the last chance for people to get them."

Fishing With Jesus

John 21:4-14
4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, "Friends, haven't you any fish?" "No," they answered. 6 He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. 7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, "It is the Lord," he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. 9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. 10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught." 11 Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

Follow Me and I will make you Fishers of Men!

Who Am I?

I am still alive as you can imagine this is a very old picture of me! The only other clue I'll give you is that I Pastor a little church on the East Coast. "A gospel is being preached that is withering everything that is in sight. Everything that is green and Godly and pure is being withered. The seed is rotten - there is a famine of hearing the pure Word of the Lord.... there is no pasture. The flocks are desolate and hungry. The rivers are drying up. A strange fire is devouring the pastors. Ezekiel says that Shepherds are trampling down the good pasture and eating the best for themselves. What are the shameful disgraceful things that are happening in the Church of Jesus Christ today?"

Thanks Molly Mo! We all need to laugh!

Is He Weeping Over Me?

I was in a PRT briefing meeting when he called. I discreetly excused myself to see if my son was alright. There isn't a meeting on this earth that my wife and kids can't call if they need me. The trembling voice on the other end of the phone said, "I miss you daddy!" I told him I missed him too and would see him after school. That's too long Daddy. You need to quit school and the Prayer Room and come home...now!I explained if I wasn't doing those things, something else would be filling my day too.

All the time his sincere voice was full of longing and missing me. He wasn't sick, tired, or bored...the longing of his heart was to be with his Dad.We had played the night before, went to the library together so it wasn't as though I hadn't been around or interacting. The reality was that didn't matter in this moment he missed me. I assured him we woud play after school today.
Yvette got on the phone and said he woke up that morning feeling good. When she came out of the bathroom she found Zach on our bed holding my pillow and sobbing, saying I miss my Daddy, I want my Daddy...so she let him call and I answered the phone.

Of course he had my heart!

Is it obvious why I am sharing this personal story? Afterwards the Lord pierced my heart with His longing for me. Remember Jesus weeping over Israel? He weeps over all of us, even believers, when we choose lesser things over time with Him. Conversely, when we spend time fellowshiping with Him, His heart overflows with Joy.

Around IHOP we are all aware of Song of Songs and that one of its applications is Christ as the Bridegroom and belivers as the Bride. We know God's heart is stirred when we spend time with Him. I don't want Him to weep over me! I can stir His heart.

Psalms 84:1-2
How lovely is your dwelling place,O LORD Almighty! 2 My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the LORD;
my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

A Deluxe, Fries, Tartar, and a Coke...Please!

In the begining...before Seattle brought you such greats as Boeing, JP-Patches,Red Robin, Starbucks, ChriS, Mirco-Soft, or Dick's Drive In There is simply not a better greasy fast-food burger on the planet! The hand-cut fries are phenomenal. The price is cheap. Yes, in Seattle visit all of the tourist spots...but eat where all of the locals do a Special or Deluxe! Dick stopped expansion at five restaurants. Why? To keep quality up, make a good living and still have time with the family. It seemed like a good idea till I relocated to IHOP-Kansas City! I've got a cravin for those greasy fries. They are hand-cut with the skin still on! The best! McDonald's has nothing on them! Not even close!

So I am sure I am not the only person who misses their favorite food from home! What is it for you! Don't get me started on IVAR's!

Blog of the Week...Charity Bates

The blogging world is congested. Some have tried to limit their blog rolls to people they know personally, blogs they think are the "bomb", or teachers the think are the greatest. Yet if I only share with you those who "I approve of" I could miss promoting God's person of the hour. After all he usually prefers the foolish to confound the wise. So if I am looking for the wise, I might miss his foolish vessel. My take: hey high light them all...who knows who God will use one day. Maybe today. So I currently have the largest IHOP & Friends of IHOP Blog Roll. Do I read them all or even agree with them all...no way. So I'll continue to add to that Blog Roll with your help we may someday simply have an entire blog devoted to that purpose.

Yet there is value in me sharing a Blog of note. So today I highlight one of our families' best friends and one of Night Watch's best bloggers.
Miss Charity. Random Facts she spoke french in Kindergarten.

Let All of Sacramento Know

God Answers Prayers a Testimony of Healing

Below you will find two emails that we recently sent to friends and family who are apart of our personal prayer and support team. People responded immediately with an outpouring of prayer. Late yesterday afternoon...we got word of God's response and baby Samuel's release. So why post it here? Because we God answers our prayers we must share it. When weak and broken people like ourselves are allowed the chance to pray and see God move we have to share it. His glory must be proclaimed in all the earth. Because this is a "public" forum I removed our friends' last name from the post.

Friends,

God is at work! Last night John called to us on his way home from the hospital. Baby Samuel was released from the Hospital. The doctors performed an MRA (more advanced and more expensive scanning technology) and determined that the blood spot was a bruise. This bruise should eventually be absorbed into the body and he should be fine. The Doctors are saying that he shouldn't have another seizure. Thank you for your prayers. It was such a joy to hear the entire family would be home together after 8 days in the hospital. God is faithful. God is so faithful!

Your prayers make a difference. Those quick "arrow prayers" and those large "bon-fire" type prayers all are effective.

When we see God's hand we have two responsibilities: 1. To share our testimony giving God glory. 2. To be changed by God's miraculous intervention; moved to pray for another and see God move again.

James 5:13-18
13 Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
17 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
(from New International Version)

Thank you for your prayers.

ORIGINAL PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for John & Lydia. Their baby Samuel was born 8 days ago and had a siezure while in the hospital. The tests revealed a blood spot on his brain. I went up to the hospital last night and prayed with them. They were expecting to be discharged yesterday, but the latest MRI/Catscan(i forget which one) came back with no change in the blood spot. Which leads Doctors to think there is a possibility of continued bleeding. They have no clue as to the cause/source. He hasn't had a seizure since Wednesday. He is absolutely beautiful!

There will be another test today. John is hopeful that they will be going home today. This is based upon faith and the Word of God...not what the Doctors are saying. Cause the Doctors don't know what to say at this point.

Pray for Lydia and John's emotional strength. We are praying for a full healing a breaking in of the Divine Hand to do the impossible. (above photo is not baby sammuel)

Exotic 'minister insurance' protects against loss of leader, scandal

MIAMI, Fla. — When Rich Delaware, pastor of 7,000-member Christ the Rock church, bought a motorcycle for weekend fun rides, the church board got jittery. They bought a $15 million "loss of leader" insurance policy in case the pastor took a bad spill.

"We can't afford to lose him," says the board chairman. "If we do, the insurance money will get us through the transition."

Ministries of all sizes are buying increasingly exotic insurance policies to cover unforeseen events from accidents to moral failures. Many fear losing their superstar leaders. Others are bowing to the reality that an increasing number of pastors have risky hobbies.

A pastor in Arizona "scared the congregation stiff" by showing video of himself bungee jumping, riding down Class IV rapids and heli-skiing. "The only way to settle everybody down was to get the insurance," says the church's executive pastor.

Brad Denisson, a self-described "extreme pastor" who has built a church of 3,000 in western Montana, told the board he'd gone para-sailing on his vacation in Cancun. The board was speechless. "I thought, 'Para-sailing in Mexico? That can't be regulated,'" says one. Some were angry that Denisson had "put the eternal fate of thousands of souls here in Montana at risk to satisfy his derring-do."

The board asked him to refrain from risky activities, but also secretly shopped around for a "loss of leader" policy. They now feel comfortable that if Denisson has an unfortunate incident, the church will have enough money to conduct a "fairly robust nationwide search for his replacement."

Some nervous boards don't even tell the pastor they've insured him. "It's about us, not about him," says one board member. "It's really none of his business."

Don Thomas left his 9,000-member Kentucky church in the lurch when he decided to pioneer a new work — in Alaska. "We were devastated," says one church member. "Thomas was the heart and soul of this place."

Thankfully, the church board had taken out a policy in case Thomas left before 2010. The money allowed them to bring in well-known guest speakers until they found a fitting replacement. "I was surprised they'd insured me," says Thomas from Juneau. "It explains why some of the board members didn't seem too broken up at my going-away party."

Others churches are more interested in protecting against moral failure. Juniper Road Church in New Hampshire suffered two moral lapses on its staff within two years, leaving the church without key leaders for months and depressing weekly offerings. The church hired new pastors and took out a policy that pays in the event of "dismissal due to immoral conduct."

"It's a no-brainer," says the pastor. "I wish we'd had it before." Some churches take out scandal insurance on their entire staffs, though industry statistics show that youth pastors and worship leaders are the highest risk categories.

Other policies protect against "termination due to doctrinal differences," or sudden dips in tithes and offerings. "Every church has trouble. We help them get through it," says a State Farm broker who has sold hundreds of church policies in recent years.•

What's Got You Bound?

Have you ever been to the Circus and notice the elephants. It not uncommon to see a group of elephants tethered together only by small ropes attached to the ring of a leg shackle. Why is it that these large powerful creatures seldom break away from such a relativly "weak" restraint? They definitely are powerful enough to break free of this "bondage." Why don't they all just shake free?

The answer lies in conditioning. When Elephants are very young these elephants are chained by the leg to strong stakes. Initially they struggle for weeks to free themselves. However, gradually over a period of weeks they grow conditioned to believe they can't move about freely when they are tied by the right rear leg. From the moment this conditioning takes hold you can tie them with a string and they won't move. The Elephants at the circus don't move because they believe they can't. The chains in their "minds" were stronger than any rope, chain, or restraint known to man.

So you are saying to yourself, "Whats this got to do with me?" The Lord has been highlighting, "The Fear of Man" lately, you know where you don't do something or say something because you fear failure, redicule, or rejection. 2 Tim 1:77 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. NKJV

Fear has robbed the church from so much. How many Pastors fail to speak the truth because of fear? How many fail to live as God as called us to because of fear? How many ministries are never started because fear keeps us chained? How many people stay in careers they despise because of fear? How many are never healed because we feared looking foolish if we prayed for them and nothing happened? How many times do we miss sharing Jesus with someone because of fear? You fill in the blank.

But the strength of this type of fear is in our minds. It has no basis in reality. The worst that could happen to us in these situations is much bigger in our minds than in reality. The fear is in our minds; God hasn't conditioned our minds to think and respond like this. We've done it on our own with some additional conditioning by principalities and rulers of darkness.

A small rope is holding you back from something...ask Jesus to help you snap it! Cause you got work to accomplish today!

Turn Aside To See

This is for those courageous inquirers who are willing to "turn aside to see." The theme is taken from the encounter of Moses (Exodus, chapter 3) with the God who dwelled and called "out of the midst of the bush." That the bush is a lowly and common shrub at the "backside of the desert" attests to the humility of God, who waits there. It speaks also of its human undesirability by men who would think to find Him in more appropriate and convenient places. That the bush is burning, but "not consumed" is suggestive of the perpetuation of Israel despite its historic sufferings It also speaks of the unanswered issues of that nation's history and particularly of its unrecognized past and yet future judgments.
Fire is, after all, a fearful phenomenon. Why peer into that which continues to burn? Rabbinical commentary has it that anyone who is willing has no assurance that a turning back to past and comfortable categories of what one knew or understood before might be possible. It is supreme risk, but also supreme portent. That Moses turned, released God's call and initiated Israel's deliverance. Will it be so again, as this age concludes?

Are You About To Have An "ART-Attack"?

"If we want religious success that is fine, it can be done on the basis of our own expertise, prowess and religious ability. But if we want our fellowship, our marriage or our life to be for God's glory and not merely our success, then they must all be predicated totally on resurrection ground. The question is, "How far do you want to go?" For most of us, success is all we want, be it religious, marital, or professional. The root problem of the Church is that we have a false center, namely, ourselves, when the true center should more rightly be the glory of God. We never will have gratification and satisfaction until we make that radical adjustment and put God, His interests and the fulfillment of His eternal purposes by which He obtains His glory as the central purposes of our being."

Word of Mouth

Iranian Imam Recieves Christ Via Satellite TV

Iranian Imam Receives Christ Via Satellite TV, Escapes CountryFour More Imams Are Underground Believers

By Mark EllisSenior Correspondent, ASSIST News Service

WOODLAND HILLS, CALIFORNIA (ANS) -- One of the top Islamic leaders in Iran accepted Christ and left the country after facing death threats and imprisonment, according to an Iranian pastor living in the U.S. “This man has been watching Christian TV programs for the past two years,” said Pastor Elnathan Baghestani, founder of Iran for Christ Ministries. (http://www.iranforchrist.com/) Pastor Baghestani and his wife provide Christian programming to the Mohabat Network satellite, which broadcasts 24/7 into Iran and other Middle Eastern countries.

The imam called one of the phone counselors connected to Iran for Christ Ministries and prayed to receive Christ in early February. “The man has been watching Christian TV programs for the past two years,” Baghestani said. “He said he has believed since he began watching the programs but his salvation was sealed through his confession.”

“This man knows all the verses of the Qur’an by heart,” he added. “After he began watching, doubt began in his heart about the Islamic faith.” The man spent nine months in prison after he questioned the violence of radical Islam. Following his release from prison, he faced numerous death threats and escaped the country.

Several other religious leaders may follow suit. “He knows four other high-ranking imams that are in the same condition and want to leave Iran,” Baghestani said.

While it is illegal to own satellite dishes in Iran, many hide them on their roofs or other locations on their property. “They arrest people for having satellite dishes because they know the Christian programming is effective,” Baghestani noted.

The imam who fled left everything behind. “His salary was 700,000 of their monetary units every month,” Baghestani said. “He was honored and respected, but when the gospel came to him he lost everything,” he noted. “Now he is a poor refugee in a foreign country.”
“God is shaking the foundation of Islam in Iran,” Baghestani said. “We have been praying for some of the main government officials to come to Christ and God is answering us,” he reports. “I pray God will open more doors for us to send the gospel to the Middle East.”

Assemblies of God Prayer Summit

The nation's largest Pentecostal group drew some 1,400 people to a prayer summit that centered on a divine power that many of America's churches are leaving out, according to one preacher."I'm afraid that in a number of our (Christian) churches around America, we're preaching an oxymoron of an Old Testament Christianity," Jim Cymbala, senior pastor of Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York, told summit attendants in Springfield, Mo. "We're preaching Jesus and we're preaching laws, but we're missing the dynamic element of the one who is able to make you ... what God wants you to be."Cymbala spoke of the power of the Holy Spirit. The Pentecostal preacher of the Brooklyn megachurch opened the Assemblies of God Prayer Summit Monday night telling fellow believers that they are hopeless without the Holy Spirit."How sad to travel around the country and world and see churches trying to have a Christianity that represents the New Testament without an understanding and an emphasis on the ministry of the Holy Spirit," he said.
In place of the third person of the triune God, Cymbala noted that many church leaders have become formulaic.Church models and conferences may lead some church leaders to copy the way a successful pastor runs ministry. The "copycat" mode, however, prevents the ministry from being blessed by the Holy Spirit, Cymbala indicated."God has something better for us," he exhorted. "He has his Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us."
Another possible hindrance to the Holy Spirit working is seminary. Cymbala never attended seminary but realized that seminary graduates adopt "some formula and some traditional way," whether it be a Baptist or Pentecostal way of running ministry. And formulaic leaders show little dependence on the work of the Holy Spirit, the Pentecostal pastor noted.Pentecostals are no exception."Think of all the churches that have Pentecostal doctrine around this country and that are doing nothing for God," Cymbala shouted. "They don't baptize 10 people in a whole year and they're speaking in tongues and they believe in the cardinal truths of the Bible."There's got to be more than just an Acts 2 experience."
Then, how can you distinguish a "true spirit-filled" church? Cymbala says the Holy Spirit "cuts to the chase" and penetrates like fire when it works within a congregation.Pentecostal preaching is supposed to penetrate into people's hearts and not be clever or showy; music is supposed to penetrate and not just entertain churchgoers; sinners are supposed to feel uncomfortable; and the power of the Holy Spirit is not "user-friendly and seeker-sensitive.""It says 'get in or get out.'"With all that, "when fire (Holy Spirit) comes, there are changes in people's lives," Cymbala said. "This is what makes Christianity unique - God Almighty dwelling in a man or a woman."
The Assemblies of God Prayer Summit concludes Wednesday.

IHOP Bloggers Mourning A Significant Loss

Randy Bo...Where Are YOU?

The entire IHOP Blogging/Wordcast community is reeling in pain at the recent announcement that Blogging Pioneer Randy Bohlender has announced his "pause" from blogging. Insiders have speculated that the sudden influx of prolific "wordcasters" spurred Bohlender's sudden retirement from blogging. One Senior staff member stated off the record, "Randy's been the "Big Blogger" for so long, he wanted to quit while he was still on top." So many of the "Legends" don't know when to bow out gracefully...Randy's in a league all of his own. He was an inspiration to so many young bloggers.

Was it his failled bid for the 2008 Presidential nomination? Many blamed it on the controversy stirred by his running mate . Others said his ministry at BurningMan cost him the conservative vote. Certainly not enough of a reason to throw away a perfectly good blogging career.

He just stopped typing one day!

Biggest IHOP Blogroll

There are more IHOP bloggers out there than anyone imagined. As I promised a week or two ago I am compiling the foremost collection of IHOP Bloggers. Of course there is no way I could possibly keep up with them and have a prayer life, family, school, E-12, Prayer room team, or create an occassional blog entry. I know it is not complete new bloggers are jumping in the river everday. So if you know of someone who is not listed and they should be...let me know. If you are listed and would rather not be...let me know. If your listed be kind and include my blog and website www.soulpants.org or your roll.

Most of these guys are serious bloggers and followers of Jesus. A few are even funnty too! To me its not about highlighting the best...its about sharing the community. Someone who is not a great blogger/word caster today may hit "paydirt" (gold) tomorrow.

Zech 14:12-14

This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day men will be stricken by the LORD with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other.

While it is often acknowledged that only God can truly forget as he forgives, one California woman has taken this axiom to a new level: She can remember key details of her life and the world around her for every day of the past 30 years. And while most people would say they would love to improve their memory, this woman admits that a sharp memory has its down sides.

Recently profiled in the journal Neurocase, "A. J." (as she is called to protect her privacy) has the most astonishing memory scientists have ever tested. She can replay decades of her life like a movie. Give her any date, and she can recall the day of the week, usually what the weather was like, personal details of her life at that time, and major news events that occurred.
After thoroughly testing A. J. over the last six years, Dr. James McGaugh of the University of California at Irvine has decided that she is not using mnemonic devices to memorize data, nor is she a savant with exceptional memory in one area. In fact, this foremost authority on the human memory system is at a loss to explain A. J.'s recall.

"The woman who can't forget" simply says that she intensely feels each day, and remembers trivial details as clearly as major events. Asked what happened on August 16, 1977, she knew that Elvis Presley had died. But beyond celebrity headlines, she also remembered that a California tax initiative passed on June 6 of the following year, and a plane crashed in Chicago on May 25 of the next year.

But a great memory is not all it's cracked up to be. A. J. had to study for exams in school, struggled to memorize dates for history class, and still has to make a weekly grocery list.
When asked if she considered her memory a gift, A. J. said: "Well, if I'm able to cure a disease, it's a gift. But to remember, like, the end of every relationship…it's hard."
Perhaps the ability to forget should be considered a gift as well.

Ps 103:11-1211

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west,so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Heb 10:17
"Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
