Shuckling:from the Yiddish word meaning "to shake" (also written as shokeling) is the ritual swaying of Jewish worshippers during prayer, usually forward and back but also from side to side. This practice can be traced back to at least the eighth century, and possibly as far back as Talmudic times. It is believed to increase concentration and emotional intensity (Eisenberg 2004:360). In Chassidic lore, shuckeling is seen as an expression of the soul's desire to abandon the body and reunite itself with its source, similar to a flame's shaking back and forth as if to free itself from the wick (Tanya chapter 19).

Many Jews shuckel while engaged in anything requiring focus and concentration or extreme seriousness, even mundane activities.

The 12th century Jewish philosopher and poet Yehuda Halevi wrote that the habit began as a result of a shortage of books, forcing people to hover over a single codex laid on the ground, each one bending in turn to read a passage (The Kuzari, part II, para. 80).

What are the shameful disgraceful things that are happening in the Church of Jesus Christ today?"

The Face of Evil
The message of God's becoming human attacks the heart of an era when contempt for humanity or idolization of humanity is the height of all wisdom, among bad people as well as good. The weaknesses of human nature appear more clearly in a storm than in the quiet flow of calmer times. Among the overwhelming majority of people, anxiety, greed, lack of independence, and brutality show themselves to be the mainspring of behavior in the face of unsuspected chance and threats. At such a time the tyrannical despiser of humanity* easily makes use of the meanness of the human heart by nourishing it and giving it other names. Anxiety is called responsibility; greed is called industriousness; lack of independence becomes solidarity; brutality becomes masterfulness. By this ingratiating treatment of human weaknesses, what is base and mean is generated and increased ever anew. The basest contempty for humanity carries on its sinister business under the most holy assertions of love for humanity. The meaner the baseness becomes, the more willing and pliant a tool it is in the hand of the tyrant. The small number of upright people will be smeared with mud. Their courage is called revolt, their discipline Pharisaism, their independencne arbitrariness, and their masterfulness arrogance.

Its easy to have principles when you're rich. The important thing is to have principles when you're poor.

So I think there’s some difference in believing which may be on the theoretical side and faith which is on the action side. Therefore, let us see that faith always means taking action on a statement. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17). Now that means that, on the basis of something that is given to me as fact, some spiritual fact—such as identification with Christ in His death and resurrection—some spiritual fact, I don’t merely say I believe but I take action and that action will be that which produces the experience within me.
